CELEBRATES SUPERPRO CHAMPIONSHIP
Ft. Wayne
veteran driver Tommy Cook celebrated his 2007 Bollhoff Rivnut
SUPERPRO Series championship at the banquet recently held at
Bullingers Pub in Jackson, MI.
Cook used
consistency in garnering his first SUPERPRO crown by finishing no
worse that seventh in all eleven events in 2007. He finished 152
points ahead of nineteen year old Michael Gaier. Tommy’s brother Al
Cook Jr. was third followed by 2005 champion Rob Buckley and Kevin
Todd. Colin Toland’s ninth place finish was enough to award him the
2007 Five Star Racing Bodies SUPERPRO “Rookie of the Year.“
Tommy Cook
won the drawing for the new Five Star Racing ABC Body and Al Cook
Jr. was the winner of the TCI Automotive racing transmission.
Special recognition was given to Bollhoff Rivnut, All Star
Performance, Lane Automotive, American Racing Tires, Q Racing and
Corrigan Oil, Bassett Racing Wheels, Team Tech Motorsports, Whitney
Racing, Zentx Media Group, Rogers Crankshaft and Machine, Group 5
Graphics, Howe Racing Products, Randercar Racing Chassis, Aluminum
Racing Products, and Engineered Systems, Inc., Greg Cool, Angola
Motor Speedway, Baer Field Speedway, Spartan and Springport
Speedway, Winchester Speedway, Anderson Speedway, Plymouth Speedway,
and Auto City Speedway for their support of the Bollhoff Rivnut
SUPERPRO Series.
Other
awards given included Kevin Todd (Sportsman), Rob Buckley (Hard
Luck)
Al Cook, Jr.
(Most Improved Driver), Michael Tutino and Ryan Inman (SUPERPRO
Appreciation Awards). SUPERPRO President’s Awards went to Paul
Bailey (SUPERPRO Chief Technical Inspector) , John Bailey and
Michael Colpean.
The 2008
Bollhoff Rivnut SUPERPRO Series kicks off on Saturday May 24 at
Angola Motor Speedway with the running of the “Engineered Systems
75.”
