The SUPERPRO Series for late model stock cars returns to action this Saturday June 20 at Baer Field Speedway for the running of the "Five Star Racing Bodies 75.

 

     Point leader Tom Smith will be challenged by hometown favorites Tommy and Al Cook, Jack Landis, Mike Kugler, Rick Everidge, Jason Dietsch, Steven Brooks, Matt Hall, Zion Schaub, Andy Marchiniak, Terry Bogusz, Derek Bishcak, Kyle Hayden and NASCAR Truck Series veteran Rich Bickle.  Over 25 of the midwest top drivers will be on hand to compete on the half mile oval for 75 laps.

 

     It will be Wild 96.3 FM High School Seniors Night at Baer Field with all high school seniors admitted free with a coupon.  Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Front Wheel Drives will also be in action and a huge fireworks show will round out the program.

SMITH WINS AT BFS.....

 

Tom Smith took the lead on lap 42 and went on to win the Aluminum Racing Products 75 Saturday night at Baer Field Speedway. Mike Kugler was a close second followed by Steven Brooks, NASCAR veteran Rich Bickle and Tommy Cook. Kugler led the 26 car field in qualifying with a lap of 17.60 around the 1/2 mile paved oval.

BAER FIELD SPEEDWAY UP NEXT!!

 

Race 2 of the 2009 SUPERPRO Series season will be this Saturday with the running of the "Aluminum Racing Products 75" at Baer Field Speedway in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

     Jack Landis, winner of the series opener at Angola, two time defending champion Tommy Cook, Kevin Todd, Al Cook Jr., Jason Dietsch, 2008 rookie of the year Matt Hall, Derek Bischak, Rick Everidge and Mike Kugler are some of the over 25 drivers expected to compete. In addition, NASCAR veteran Rich Bickle from Edgerton, Wisconsin will be on hand to challenge the SUPERPRO regulars.  The race will be broadcast live by Ft. Wayne's "FM 100.1 Talks" (WNUY) and hosted by Cliff Tanner and Pete LaFaucia.

The SUPERPRO Series for late model stock cars begins its 2009 season this Saturday at Angola Motor Speedway with the running of the "All Star Performance Lane Automotive 75".

 

     Two time defending champion Tommy Cook has entered along with 2004 champ Jack Landis and 2005 titelist Rob Buckley.  Al Cook, Jr., Rick Everidge, Kevin Todd, 2008 Rookie of the Year Matt Hall, Zion Schaub, Steven Brooks, Tom Smith, Jim Weber, Scott Menlen, Ryan Inman, Terry Bogusz, Brian Bauman and local favorites Derek Bischak, Mike Kugler, and Jason Dietsch will be in competition along with a top rookie crop including Kyle Haden, Henry Tews, Tyler Strickland, and Mark Hanosky.  Over 25 of the top template bodied cars from throughout the midwest are expected.

The SUPERPRO Series for late model stock cars announced today the return of Five Star Racing Bodies as a contingency sponsor for the 2009 season.

FM 100.1 TALKS TO BEGIN LIVE BROADCASTS FROM

BAER FIELD SPEEDWAY

With the kickoff to the 47th consecutive season of racing set for Saturday, May 16, Baer Field Speedway is proud to announce that, for the first time ever, LIVE events will be broadcast from the historic racing facility.  The Speedway has reached an agreement with “FM 100.1 Talks” (WNUY) for monthly broadcasts of LIVE racing action on select Saturday nights. Hosted by Cliff Tanner and Pete LaFaucia, the Saturday night broadcasts will begin on May 30, when the Super Pro series makes their first of three appearances on the historic half-mile oval. Other broadcasts scheduled at this time will be: June 13 (HOSS Sprints), July 18 (CRA Super Series)and the 12 annual “International Gold Cup 100” on Friday, August 7. Additional dates may be added to the broadcast schedule later in the season.

In addition to the Saturday night live racing broadcasts, FM 100.1 will also debut a one-hour, weekly interview and results show called “Speed Talk LIVE”, which will be broadcast from the Speedway pits during Wednesday night open practice from 7-8 PM.

Baer Field Speedway 3X in 2009!!

The SUPERPRO Series and Baer Field Speedway Promoter Tom Isch announced today that the legendary 1/2 mile paved oval in Ft. Wayne, Indiana will host three SUPERPRO races in 2009.

Friday, August 7 will be the date for the crown jewel event of the SUPERPRO Series - the International Gold Cup 100. Baer Field will also host 75 lap feature events on Saturday, May 30 and Saturday, June 27.

"We are honored to be part of the Baer Field schedule in 2009," said SUPERPRO Director Bill Lackey. "The International Gold Cup is the premier race on our schedule and it is the one all our drivers want to win."
