Baer Field Speedway 3X in 2009!!

The SUPERPRO Series and Baer Field Speedway Promoter Tom Isch announced today that the legendary 1/2 mile paved oval in Ft. Wayne, Indiana will host three SUPERPRO races in 2009.

Friday, August 7 will be the date for the crown jewel event of the SUPERPRO Series - the International Gold Cup 100. Baer Field will also host 75 lap feature events on Saturday, May 30 and Saturday, June 27.

"We are honored to be part of the Baer Field schedule in 2009," said SUPERPRO Director Bill Lackey. "The International Gold Cup is the premier race on our schedule and it is the one all our drivers want to win."

Landis Wins 2 -- Cook Takes Crown...

Veteran Jack Landis scored two wins in the SUPERPRO Series at Plymouth Speedway while Tommy Cook duplicated last season by winning the 2008 championship.

SUPERPRO CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE DECIDED THIS WEEKEND AT PLYMOUTH SPEEDWAY

The SUPERPRO Series will crown their 2008 champion this weekend after Saturday’s “Randercar Racing Enterprises 50” and Sunday’s “All Star Performance - Lane Automotive 100” during the 2008 Stock Car Festival at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana.

With two races of points up for grabs, the top ten still have a mathematical chance at the championship. 2007 Champion Tommy Cook holds a 48 point lead over Rick Everidge with Al Cook Jr. just four points behind Everidge. Kevin Todd and Rob Buckley round out the top five.

The Randercar Racing Enterprises 50 will highlight Saturdays activities that include heat races for Stock Car Festival’s divisions and features for the mini stocks and the “Free For All”. Racing begins at 6:30 pm.

Young Derek Bischak scored his first ever SUPERPRO Series feature win by capturing the Lipari Foods 75 Presented by Teamtech Motorsports Saturday night at the Springport Motor Speedway.

LANDIS LANDS ANGOLA SUPERPRO CHECKERS

Edgerton, Ohio veteran Jack Landis took the lead from Kevin Todd on lap 42 and went on to win the "Dietsch Sales and Service 75 Presented by Randercar Racing Enterprises" SUPERPRO Series feature event Saturday night at Angola Motor Speedway.

Tommy Cook Wins at Baer Field Speedway

 Local favorite and 2007 SUPERPRO champion Tommy Cook took advantage of a late race misfortune to Jack Landis and won the International Gold Cup 100 Presented by Five Star Racing Bodies for SUPERPRO Series late model stock cars Friday night at Baer Field Speedway in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

The SUPERPRO Series for late model stock cars is proud to once again be part of the eleventh annual International Gold Cup 100 at Baer Field Speedway on Friday, August 8th.

     Point leader Rick Everidge will join local favorites Tommy and Al Cook, 2007 Gold Cup champion Rob Buckley, 2004 SUPERPRO champion Jack Landis, Jason Dietsch, Kevin Todd, Joe Fadke, 15 year olds Matt Hall and Zion Schaub, Mike Kugler and others for 100 laps around the 1/2 mile banked oval. The CRA Sportsmen, USA Modifieds, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks will also be in action. In addition, a giagantic fireworks display and the International Truck Parade will be part of the intermission program.

The "Lipari Foods 75" SUPERPRO Series race that was rained out July 2 at Spartan Speedway in Mason, Michigan has been rescheduled for Friday, July 18 th. In order to help defray the cost of the return trip, SUPERPRO Director Bill Lackey has announced each team attending the July 18th race will receive a fuel card.

"Rain and the high cost of fuel has put us all in a corner," said Lackey. " I know its not much but we will give each team that races with us at Spartan a $25 fuel card to help with their costs. We are also going to push our practice and qualifying back to help those who may have to work on Fridays still get to the track."

Valvoline Instant Change Modifieds, Performance Automotive Northwest Sportsmen, Pure Stocks and Boss Snow Equipment Pony Stocks will also be in action. Spectator gates open at 5 pm with the first race at 7:30 pm. Spartan Speedway is located one mile north of US 127 on Cedar St. at College Rd. SMITH SACKS SUPERPRO FOES AT BAER FIELD

 

Medina, Ohio veteran Jack Smith was looking at a fourth place finish with 10 laps to go during the SUPERPRO Series "Aluminum Racing Products 75" Saturday night at Baer Field Speedway. But an incident between the leaders and a flat tire put Smith in front for the final ten laps and went on to victory.
